We need more affordable single family homes in Holladay, for young families just starting out and older people needing to downsize. The only way to reduce cost is to allow smaller homes, which in turn require smaller lots. Otherwise we will end up with monster mansions that no one can afford. I saw this happen in the SF Bay Area when we lived in CA. It does not end well. I am not saying that we need to rezone the whole city! But in areas where it makes sense, near commercial zones and major thoroughfares, as well as lots that are oversized in comparison to the surrounding neighborhood, it needs to be allowed.
